Knights Soccer Update

With only 2 weeks remaining in the regular season, the Knights have demonstrated significant growth. Our record doesn't quite reflect the improvement in team play, as we stand at 3-5 overall, and 3-1 in league play.

Losses are typically losses only on the scoreboard, because the Knights have competed well against all foes. The Knights have proven themselves capable of winning any game, but we have failed to cultivate a sense of confidence and focus that could potentially enable us to string together several wins.

The handiwork of God's gracious hand is always visible nevertheless, as evidenced by the willingness of our team to continue to battle, no matter what the status of the game looks like on the scoreboard. Moreover, we are always cognizant of the long-term objectives of the season. Winning is important, but it is not the most important purpose of soccer. Our Knights must remain aware that their efforts should strive to glorify God firstly, by totally giving of themselves to their teammates, physically and mentally, each and every time they compete. We are confident that so long as we keep our priorities straight, God will richly bless our efforts at the end of the season.

Our Lady of Victory, pray for us!
